The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President, Eseme Eyiboh, has described the claims of sacked Sen. Elisha Abbo as uninformed.

Eyiboh, in a statement given to Persecondnews on Tuesday, said It is uncharitable for Sen. Abbo to pour his frustrations on Sen. Akpabio or anyone else, adding that his action has betrayed the bile he has for Akpabio.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja had on Monday nullified the election of the senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District.

The appellate court declared the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Amos Yohanna, as the winner of the February 25 senatorial election.

The federal lawmaker, in aftermath of the judgment at a press briefing held at his residence in Abuja late Monday, claimed that Senator Akpabio, had a hand in the unfavourable court judgment against him.

He said: “Democracy is founded on the rule of law, so for anybody to accuse one of the strong agents of democracy and governance in the mould of Senator Godswill Akpabio such an individual must be a monument of self-pity and his swansong a discordant escape from reality.

“Senator Akpabio for emphasis has no ill-will towards any of his distinguished colleagues and as he has said in the past, the embers of the leadership election have been buried and replaced by the fraternal bond of nation-building he shares with the overwhelming majority of senators.”
