Renowned singer and former Psquare member, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has expressed his deep concerns over the current economic challenges in Nigeria, particularly the escalating costs of petroleum products.

In a recent social media post, the artist shared his personal experience of economic hardships and wondered how citizens are coping.

Rudeboy’s lamentation was prompted by the remarkable contrast between his past and present expenses.

The singer recalled purchasing his first car several years ago for a modest sum of N120,000.

However, in a jarring revelation, he disclosed that he now found himself spending an astonishing N3 million per month solely on diesel.

The artist expressed his disbelief at the current economic state, describing it as “total madness.”

Taking to his Instagram story, Rudeboy expressed his sentiments, saying, “I bought my first car for 120k naira years back, and I was very proud of that… Now I spend 3 million naira on diesel for just a month… Total madness. Only God knows what a common man is going through.”

Rudeboy’s candid comment serves as a poignant reminder of the pressing economic problems facing many Nigerians and the broader economic challenges that need attention and resolution.
