Ekiti Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has emerged the Majority Leader of the 10th Senate.

Also, Sen. Dave Umahi, immediate past governor of Ebonyi, is the Deputy Majority Leader.

Announcing this at the plenary on Tuesday, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, named Sen. Ali Ndume the Chief Whip while his counterpart from Offa, Kwara State, Sen.Lola Asiru emerged Deputy Chief Whip.

Persecondnews reports that the principal officers had emerged through consensus by the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
