The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may have finally settled for Delta Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa as running mate of the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Report reaching Persecondnews can confirm that the PDP will emerge from its stakeholders meeting in the next few hours with the announcement of Okowa as the vice-presidential candidate to Atiku.

Contrary to the reports that the Rivers Gov. Nyesom Wike is favored for the Vice-Presidential candidacy, consensus appear to have endorsed Okowa.

Atiku from North-west has attempted the presidency for the fourth time running like President Muhammadu Buhari, who cliched the exalted office at the fourth shot.

Picking a deputy from either the Southsouth or Southeast is a political strategy by the PDP as APC cannot pick a Vice-Presidential candidate from the zones.
