Senate Deputy President Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege has emerged the Delta state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections.
Also, Lagos Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Ogun state counterpart, Dapo Abiodun, have secured the party’s tickets.
Persecondnews reports that Omo-Agege, who was the sole aspirant in the primary, polled 1,190 votes while Sanwo-Olu, also the sole aspirant, collected 1,170 of 1,182 votes cast.
Abiodun scored 1,168 votes while other six aspirants, who were absent at the primary, scored zero votes.
Abiodun’s co-aspirants include Olubiyi Otegbeye, Mrs Modele Sarafa- Yussuf, Mr Owodunni Opayemi, Remilekun Bakare and Abdukadir Akinlade.
The Chairman of Ogun State APC Primary Election Committee, Chief Wale Ohu, who announced the result, said other aspirants did not secure any vote.
