Sokoto State Governor and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, has joined the fray as the number of presidential aspirants ahead of the 2023 polls continue to swell.

Persecondnews reports that he is the latest candidate to officially declare interest in the presidential race after former Imo Gov. Rochas Okorocha of the All Progressives Congress announced his intention earlier today.

Tambuwal of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his interest on Monday evening, after a high-level stakeholders meeting in Sokoto.

Tambuwal noted that he is not only well prepared, but also ready to fix the numerous problem of the country if he becomes the President of Nigeria.

Among the presidential aspirants are Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and Ebonyi Gov. David Nweze Umahi.
