With President Muhammadu Buhari leading the pack, another congratulatory message from South Africa has poured in for ex-CBN governor and Anambra Governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.

An indigene of the state and South Africa-based businessman, Chief Onyekachukwu Onyeka, hailed his victory at the polls, hinging his emergence on ex-CBN governor’s transformational ability.

Onyeka, a former President, Anambra State Association, South Africa (ASA-SA), said his ability to transform was evident at the Central Bank of Nigeria where he had served as the Governor.

He noted in the message, made available to Persecondnews on Monday that in the history of the state, Soludo would be the first governor to win 19 of the state’s 21 local governments, an indication that the people know his worth and pedigree.

“I believe it was really what gave birth to the people rejecting offers of money to sell their votes in their various polling units.

“It is with a heart filled with joy that I rejoice with us (Ndi Anambra) on this great feat of electing an intellectual who knows the job, as the Governor of our dear state,’’ he said.

Onyeka noted that the past months had been characterized by political turmoil and palpable fear of insecurity and agitations which had filled the people’s hearts.

“It came with fear of losing our state to the hands of the unknown but the end justified that all the agitations can be doused with a good personality of your like.

“This was evident from the moment the result of the election started filtering in, it was like having a taste of chilled water under a scorching sun.

“With your victorious announcement to the ears of Ndi Anambra and Ndi Igbo, all hearts were melted totally.

“All the congratulations to Ndi Anambra were in order from the various states, Federal Government and other countries because the evidence of your ability to transform was evident at the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“It completely brought financial security to all our efforts in the banking sector till date,’’ Onyeka said in the statement.

He thanked God for giving ex-CBN governor Soludo to Anambra, saying that from the day of the political debate, he made Anambrarians know that he was fully aware of their problems by declaring his intention to declare a “state of emergency” in road infrastructure in the state.

“Sincerely, that was laudable, also with your boldness to let the world know without fear that you know about the agitations going on in the South-East even when others denied it due to fear of whatever.

“The journey has just begun, and we anticipate great things for our dear state in the very near future as you take the mantle of leadership in grand style.

“We are not devoid of your morals and principles of maintaining standards which we will eagerly succumb to, for us to jump on your bandwagon for the betterment of Ndi Anambra,’’ Onyeka, also a former President Ozubulu Development Union, South Africa (ODU-SA), said.

He prayed God to give Soludo the grace and ability to gather good men for the various jobs that awaited him so as to stamp his name in the sands of time.
