Tension heightens as another 300 school girls abducted In Zamfara

Barely two weeks after some Kagara students were kidnapped in Niger State, gunmen on Friday abducted about 300 school girls in Zamfara State, reports Persecondnews.

The abduction took place in the wee hours of Friday, according to reports.

Persecondnews gathered from a BBC Hausa Service report that the school, Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State, was attacked by the gunmen on Friday night.

About 10 days ago, 27 students and staff members were kidnapped at Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State.

Both Niger State and federal government have been negotiating the release of the abductees.
