Two months after gang-raping school girl to death, two jobless youths nabbed

About two months after, two of the four gang-rapists, who fatally raped 11-year-old Favour Okechukwu in Ejigbo area of Lagos State have been caught by the long arm of the law.

The duo of Quadri Azeez, 22, and Sunday Odunayo, 23, had bolted after the heinous crime but through intelligence, the former Divisional Police Officer for Ejigbo,  CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, they were apprehended.

The police had tracked Azeez to Ogun State where he was caught in a busted robbery.

Azeez was caught by the local vigilance group which identified him and quickly contacted CSP Okuwobi.

His interrogation led to Odunayo’s arrest in his hideout while the two other suspects are still on the run.

Both Azeez and Odunayo have been transferred to the State Criminal lnvestigation Department, Panti, Yaba, on the directive of Police Commissioner Akeem Odumosu for further investigation and prosecution.

The unfortunate secondary school girl, Favour was on an errand for her mother to buy sausage rolls from a nearby market while returning from school when she was attacked the serial rapists.

The girl was gang-raped to death by the dare-devil four men.
