As a follow-up to the apology offered Nigeria, Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Ministry says the country will reconstruct the building demolished at the Nigerian High Commission in Accra last week.
The Foreign Affairs Minister, Ms. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey  said the government would restore the building to its original state as soon as possible.
Armed men reportedly stormed the compound last week and destroyed buildings under construction in the embassy.
Ghanaian President  Akufo-Addo had apologized to Nigeria over the demolition while  two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
She said the High Commission will be issued with a title deed for the land.
Botchwey said Ghana was committed to ensuring the safety of members of the diplomatic corps.

She said the government had engaged Nigeria to calm tension between the two countries.
