Standing trial on a charge of “unnatural offence” at a Magistrates’ Court, the accused pleaded innocence of the offence.
Following his not-guilty plea, his lawyer, Mr Timi Omotosho, urged the court to admit Ogaji to bail on liberal terms.
In his ruling, the magistrate, Mr Kehinde Awosika, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety.

Earlier, Police Prosecutor Olubu Apata told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 4 at about 2.30pm at Basiri area of Ado-Ekiti.

He asked for an adjournment to enable him to present his witnesses in court for commencement of trial.

The offence contravened Section 214(2) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

Police Commissioner Asuquo Amba, said the men were also arrested for cultism.

“The trio was arrested at noon by his men after attacking a lady and forced her into an uncompleted building at the Olorunsogo area of the state capital, where she was gang-raped.”

Amba also paraded a man for allegedly attacking two students at the Federal University, Oye Ekiti (Olasehinde Olawale and Peter Lucky) and forced them to transfer N7,000 to his United Bank for Africa Account No 2141886420 at gunpoint.
