Upset by the killing of Remo Stars Football Club defender, Kazeem Tiamiyu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has ordered an investigation into the extra-judicial death by the Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARs).
He also appealed to residents of the state to remain calm and not to resort to selfhelp on the killing of the footballer in Sagamu on Saturday.
Assuring that similar cases involving SARs in the state will be looked into, he described the killing of the soccer star as unfortunate and urged  players, management and supporters of Remo Stars Football Club to remain calm.
“The killers will be brought to justice,” he promised.

Shocked at the tragic event, Abiodun promised a “proper, transparent and independent investigation” would be launched into the incident to know what transpired with a view to bringing those responsible to justice.

The governor extolled the late player as a young man with great potential, saying “we will not take with levity, the safety of lives and property of the good people of Ogun State.

“The incident will not be swept under the carpet.”

Abiodun also sympathised with the two persons hospitalised as a result of Thursday’s shooting at Olomoore Market, Abeokuta by men of anti-cultism team of Ogun State Police Command.
