Right in the courtroom, attempt by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), on Friday to rearrest Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, was aborted but they picked the duo up after proceedings at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

No fewer than 15 operatives of the DSS had invaded the courtroom to effect the arrest.

He was rearrested after the close of the Friday’s proceedings after Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, had adjourned the case until February 11, 2019.

Persecondnews reports that there was a stampede in the hallowed chambers as Sowore and his supporters tried to resist their arrests.

The incident disrupted the proceedings presided over by Justice Ojukwu.

The judge was forced to suspend sitting directing that the rest of the cases on her list for the day should be rescheduled.

Sowore’s lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) had told newsmen that lawyers in his team had attempted to meet with the #RevolutionNow protest convener in custody but were denied.
