After spending more than two weeks in the bush with her abductors, Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme of the Court of Appeal, Benin, today breathed air of freedom.

She was kidnapped in the Edo State Capital while her police orderly was killed.

The judge who was “rescued” from kidnappers,  has been reunited with her family, according to the State Police  Commissioner, Mr Danmallam Mohammed.

A senior advocate of Nigeria, Mr Mike Ozekhome had led a campaign for her release, begging her abductors.

The Benin branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, had embarked on a three-day boycott of all courts last week to press for her release or rescue.
