In its renewed vigour to confront challenges headlong, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says it is committed to driving positive changes using multi-talented staff.
NNPC is also mobilising creativity and innovativeness of its workforce to proffer solutions to its business challenges.
The Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mallam Mele K. Kyari, said this at the 51st Annual National Conference of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) in Abuja.
The conference which has its theme, “Disruption: Change the Game”, attracted more than 2,700 participants from diverse sectors of the nation’s economy.
“In today’s VUCA world, where all is changing at supersonic speed, NNPC is poised to be a leading hope for innovation and creativity in Africa Oil and Gas landscape,” Kyari, represented by the Managing Director, Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), Mr Bala Wunti, said.
He recalled that the recently launched “Operation White” initiative was aimed at entrenching energy security and deepening the drive for transparency in petroleum products supply and distribution being driven by young, innovative and talents staff.
Kyari said Big Data, Predictive Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Agile Work practices would be deployed in re-positioning the corporation to
attain excellence.
“In line with the corporation’s TAPE agenda, it will create innovation labs that will crowd source and harness ideas in solving different business challenges
across the value-chain.’’
