Julius Berger Nigeria appoints Lars Richter new MD

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc announced it is making changes to the management structure of the company and has appointed Dr Lars Richter as its new Managing Director effective Oct 16 2018, in an emailed statement.
“The changes were precipitated by the continuous growth and strategic demands of the Company with respect to its significant portfolio of building, infrastructure and industrial construction projects, and in the light of its diversification and development targets,” the statement read.
Richter, former divisonal manager, managing the acquisition across the company’s operations succeeds Wolfgang Goetsch, the former MD, who served the company in multiple capacity for 27 years.
Tobias Meletschus will now head Directorate, Corporate Development of the company, following six years of heading Business Development division within Julius Berger and leading diversification strategies and related business plans, as well as the assessment and successful negotiation of largescale projects, the statemement added.
