After PerSecondNews broke the story, the family of late Nollywood actress, Tope Osoba, has postponed indefinitely her burial.
This followed unresolved differences over where her remains should be laid to rest.
The development comes amid growing disagreements within the family, with her husband reportedly insisting that the actress be buried at another location, contrary to the position of other members of the family.
The disagreement has made it impossible for the family to proceed with the burial arrangements, forcing the postponement of the ceremony indefinitely.
Per Second News had exclusively reported that the actress might not be buried as earlier scheduled after checks revealed that her remains were still at a morgue in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, while members of the family and her colleagues were yet to reach an agreement on her final resting place.
In the report published ahead of the proposed burial, Per Second News gathered from a source familiar with the situation that although the burial was expected to take place after the candlelight procession and service of songs, some issues within the family had yet to be resolved.
The source had disclosed that the major issue was centred on where Osoba would be buried, raising doubts about the proposed burial date.
Those concerns have now materialised, with the family unable to reconcile the differences surrounding the burial arrangements.
Sources close to the family said the disagreement has persisted despite efforts to reach a compromise, leaving the family with no option but to suspend the burial plans indefinitely.
The late actress had been scheduled to be buried on Wednesday following a series of funeral activities held in her honour this week, which attracted colleagues, friends, family members and other stakeholders in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
With the latest development, there is currently no confirmed date for her burial, as the family continues to grapple with the disagreement over her final resting place.
