Why September 25, 2025 robbery still haunts Qdot, channels trauma into music

111

Five months after a terrifying armed robbery at his home, singer Qdot has revealed that the ordeal has continued to affect him deeply, both emotionally and psychologically.

The incident, which occurred on September 25, 2025 saw masked intruders break into his residence.

Shockingly, his CCTV cameras failed to function that night, leaving the singer and his household vulnerable and unable to document the attack.

Qdot recounted the fear and anxiety he experienced as he confronted the armed robbers.

Exchanging words with the intruders, he said, left him in a state of panic and disbelief, and the memory of that confrontation has lingered long after the event.

The experience, he noted, has created a lasting psychological impact, with nightmares and heightened fear becoming part of his nightly routine.

In a recent Twitter post, the singer opened up about the post-trauma he continues to face.

He revealed that he wakes up every night at exactly 2:30 a.m., gripped by fear, making it nearly impossible to sleep peacefully.

The emotional weight of the robbery has stayed with him, a constant reminder of the vulnerability he experienced during that fateful night.
“Even though September 28 has passed, the trauma is still with me. I wake up every night at 2:30 a.m. in fear and can no longer sleep peacefully. I pray for healing and peace, and for stronger government action so this suffering can finally end,” he wrote, tagging the Lagos State Government and the Lagos Police to call for greater security measures.

Determined not to let the experience break him, Qdot is channeling his trauma into creativity.

The singer has transformed the fear, anxiety, and lessons from the incident into music, releasing a new track inspired by the event.

According to him, he hopes the song will not only help him process his own pain but also raise awareness about the psychological toll that violent crimes can have on victims.

Through his music, Qdot is turning a harrowing experience into a message of resilience and healing.
