The Nigeria Police has issued a stern warning to applicants to remain vigilant against fraudsters as nationwide constable recruitment examinations are set to take place from April 28 to April 30, 2026.
Authorities said the recruitment process is completely free and warned that anyone caught engaging in fraudulent activities or extorting applicants will face arrest and prosecution.
According to a statement from the FCT Command in Abuja, the exercise is a joint collaboration between the Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force.
The exercise will commence daily at 7:00 a.m. at designated centers across the country.
In the Federal Capital Territory, the examinations will be hosted at the POWA Secondary School.
The Command emphasized that only candidates who cleared the initial physical and credential screenings are eligible for this phase.
All participants must visit the official recruitment portal to print their examination invitation slips, which list their specific testing schedules and venues.
Candidates are expected to report early and come along with a valid National Identification Number slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission, a printed exam slip, and writing materials.
The approved dress code is strictly white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white socks.
Applicants were advised to remain vigilant, comply with all guidelines, and avoid any dealings with individuals promising assistance or special consideration in the recruitment process.
