The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, has officially aligned himself with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing the people of the state on Friday, Fintiri revealed a sweeping political shift, noting that his whole team and various PDP associates have transitioned with him to the APC.
Persecondnews reports that by doing so, the governor put a definitive end to the rumors that had been swirling around his political future.
Just days prior, a group of 15 representatives from the Adamawa legislative body, which includes House Speaker Bathiya Wesley and his Deputy Buba Jijiwa, stepped down from their positions within the PDP.
These officials cited persistent internal conflicts within the PDP as the primary motivation for their departures.
As a result of Fintiri’s move, the PDP now controls only three states.
