President Bola Tinubu has ordered the recall of Salihu Dembos as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) following recent management changes at the agency.

According to a statement from Bayo Onanuga, the Presidential spokesman, Tinubu’s directive reverses the recent appointment of Rotimi Pedro as NTA DG.

Dembos, who was appointed to the position by President Tinubu in October 2023, will now return to complete his three-year term.

In a similar move, the President also directed the recall of Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, to complete his tenure, which ends in 2027.

‎Adewuyi was appointed by President Tinubu in 2024.

‎The directive effectively overrides earlier appointments of a new Director-General, Executive Director of News, Executive Director of Marketing, and Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.
