Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, Ooni of Ife’s ex-queen, Oriyomi Hamzat, and Abdullahi Fasasi have been remanded at Agodi Correctional Center (prison) in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Hamzat owns Agidigbo FM while Fasasi is the Principal of Islamic High School.

A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Iyaganku gave the ruling on Tuesday pending legal advice from the State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Persecondnews reports that the trio was arraigned in connection with the December 18 Christmas funfair stampede that claimed the lives of 35 children’.

They were arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder, and negligent acts causing harm, a violation of Section 324 of the Criminal Code, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.

Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi, who insisted on legal advice from the DPP, adjourned the case until January 13, 2025.
