Gospel artist Aduke Ajayi, also known as Aduke Gold, will embark on his final journey on August 21, before her burial on August 23.
The family has announced that Aduke Gold’s final burial will take place on August 23 at the Lagos African Church, located on College Road, Ifako-Ijaiye and that a candle night in her honor will take place at 6 p.m. on August 21 at Ayorinde Street, located along College Road, Ifako-Ijaiye.
Per Second News gathered that a 12-hour artistes’ night will be held on August 22 to celebrate the life and times of the singer at the same venue.
Contrary to the prevailing news that she passed away due to fibroid, the elder brother, Aderounmu Ajayi, on behalf of the family, debunked that it was not true, noting that the real cause of her death was a life-threatening ailment.
“She was ill. She had cervical cancer, and she was taken to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State. Unfortunately, she died. I am quoting the death certificate.
“So, whoever is quoting what is not should just stop that. Our daughter was ill. She had cervical cancer, and to the glory of God, she rested last Monday. It is always ideal to get information from the right source,” he said.
