Rihanna has been busy since the official launch of her new hair care line, Fenty Hair, on June 12th. Rihanna was unveiled as the new face of Dior’s classic J’adore Fragrance.
Dior announced this publicly by taking to Instagram to post a photo of Rihana with a caption that reads, “Christian Dior is truly delighted to welcome icon Rihanna, whose wide-ranging talents, remarkable beauty and universal appeal now embody the world of J’adore.”
Rihanna teasingly confirmed the collaboration by writing on social media platform, X, “The secret is out,” building the excitement and among fans.
Rihanna and Dior are no strangers to each other. Rihanna was recently spotted at Paris Fashion Week and even during her first pregrnancy back in 2022 and several other Dior fashion shows.
She also historically became the first Black ambassador for Dior in 2015.
Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christion Dior, lavished praises on Rihanna by commending her for her successes, “Not only is she one of the greatest and most powerful artists of all times, she is also multitalented, a successful entrepreneur, a committed humanitarian, a mother of two and a singular beauty.
“The choice of Rihanna to be the next face of J’Adore was obvious for us.
“The unusual talent, audacity, and captivating beauty of this absolute star are the ideal embodiment of dazzling, powerful Dior femininity that transcends generations.
“Her golden dream promises to be unique, reflecting a fragrance that is present for women and retains its radiance.”
In Woman’s Wear Daily (WWD), Rihanna explained her motivation for partnering with Dior and becoming the face of J’adore, revealing her thoughts on what drew her to the iconic fragrance, stating:
“Being the new face of J’Adore is both an honor and a mission.
“The scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women.
“I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”
Persecondnews recalls that since the 2017 launch of Fenty Beauty, the “Work” singer has become the world’s richest musician. Rihanna went from a universally loved singer with 9 Grammys to a master brand ambassador and businesswoman.
Fenty Beauty has gained over $600 million (N899,400,000,000) in annual sales, and her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, has an estimate of $3 Billion (N4,497,000,000,000).
Rihanna’s new Fenty Hair care line and the new appointment of the face of J’Adore marks another milestone in her booming career.
