Breaking: Seven days after, abducted Ekiti school children, teachers regain freedom

After seven days in the kidnappers’ den, the abducted students and teachers of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools in Emure, Ekiti State, have been released.

Per Second News learnt that the hostages, kidnapped on Monday along Emure-Eporo Road, regained their freedom in the early hours of Sunday.

A government official in Emure confirmed the positive development, stating that the abductees are now reunited with their parents, with further details to be provided shortly.

Moreover, a source also confirmed the release and mentioned the presence of State Ministry of Health officials at the location.

The officials are actively engaged in ensuring the abductees receive the necessary medical attention.

“The plan is to transport them to Ado Ekiti, the state capital, for further care”.

The incident occurred while the students and staff were returning to Eporo after school hours, sparking concern and prompting swift efforts to secure their release.
