Amid mounting pressure from some top celebrities on the Police authorities to release the body of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, for a befitting burial, the father of the deceased, Mr Joseph Aloba, has taken a firm stand against any unauthorized retrieval of his son’s body from the morgue.
In a recent video circulated on TikTok, the grieving father issued a stern warning that no one should attempt to take Mohbad’s remains out of the morgue without his express approval.
This development comes in the wake of calls from notable figures in the entertainment industry, including singer Bella Shmurda and actress Tonto Dikeh, urging the Police to expedite the release of Mohbad’s body for l a “befitting burial.”
The delay in the autopsy results had prompted these pleas for swifter action.
Contrary to the public appeal for prompt burial arrangements, Mohbad’s father, in the video, pointed out the significance of obtaining samples from his late son’s body for a DNA test.
The purpose of the test is to conclusively establish the paternity of Mohbad’s only son, Liam Light.
The tension surrounding the burial arrangements and the plea for DNA test has added layers of complexity to the bad situation.
