In a surprising revelation, Blackface, a prominent member of the defunct music sensation Plantashunboiz, has disclosed that he played a pivotal role in bringing his former partner, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, from Benue State to join the iconic music group.

The group which also featured Faze, dominated the music scene for many years and is celebrated today as a cornerstone of the Nigerian music industry.

Before the formation of Plantashunboiz, each member pursued solo music careers.

However, it was 2Face, with his unique talent and charisma, who appeared to have the upper hand among the trio.

The group’s fusion of their individual talents created a musical synergy that became legendary, giving birth to what many modern artists now celebrate as the foundation of the Nigerian music industry.

Blackface went on to express that 2Face’s mother was grateful to him for bringing her son from Benue to Lagos, recognizing the positive influence it had on 2Face’s life.

However, he lamented that today, 2Face seems to be avoiding him and is unwilling to discuss their shared history within the group, Plantashunboiz.

“I recall 2Face’s mother was grateful to me for bringing 2Face to Lagos from Benue. But today 2Face is avoiding me and didn’t want to talk about me,” he said.

This revelation offers a fresh perspective on the formation and dynamics of Plantashunboiz, highlighting the collaborative journey that produced unforgettable music, foundational to the history of Nigerian music.

Fans, the music industry, and the public are left wondering about the complexities of the relationships that helped shape the group and its members’ individual paths.
