Nollywood actress and producer, Moyo Lawal, has spoken out against the backdrop of what she described as the unauthorized release of a private sex tape in September, assuring her fans of her unwavering determination despite the challenging circumstances.

Moyo gained notoriety when a personal video was leaked on social media earlier in the year.

While she has expressed her intention to pursue legal action against the individuals responsible for the video leak, Moyo disclosed that the person featured in the video was her ex-fiancé.

She emphasized that the video was never intended for public viewing, and its circulation without her consent violated her “personal boundaries” and privacy.

In a recent Instagram post, the ‘A Time To Heal’ actress shed light on her life following the video’s unauthorized release, offering insights into the situation.

Moyo said: “One thing I can tell you for a fact is that things are never what they seem to be. I only had intimate encounters twice last year.

“And one of those times resulted in the video that I consented to because he started recording after the fact when he was not living in Nigeria.”

She also addressed speculations that she may have orchestrated the video’s release herself.

“Meanwhile, to those who believed in a false narrative that I released the video for reasons I never intended, I don’t know what to tell you.

“They say what doesn’t break you makes you stronger and changes you. I hope to become carefree and outgoing because living life the right way has silenced my detractors,” Moyo said.

Restating her resoluteness in the face of adversity, Moyo said:”Whoever orchestrated this move to harm me and end my career, I want to make it clear that I haven’t lost my faith; I am still standing, persevering, thriving, and well-supported.”
