Yusuf Maitama Tuggar
Born March 12, 1967, Tuggar is a Nigerian politician and diplomat who since 2017 is the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany. He was previously a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011 representing Gamawa; and he has run twice for Governor of Bauchi State.
Tuggar earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the United States International University. He also attended the University of Bath, and has a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge.
After graduating, Tuggar spent several years in the private sector. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Nordic Oil and Gas Services, an energy consulting firm. He was also a contributor on political and economic opinions in Nigerian newspapers and magazines.
Tuggar represented Gamawa, Bauchi State, in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011. He served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Procurement, regulating government spending in the oil and gas industry, education, health and water resources.
Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa
Ahmed Musa Dangiwa is a Nigerian architect, academic, and one-time CEO/MD of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria. He has 30 years working experience in real estate, infrastructure development, banking and management experience spanning private and public sector.
Dangiwa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Masters in architecture all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is also an Alumnus of the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the university Pennsylvania, United state.
He is a member of professional bodies such as a senior associate member of Risk manager associate of Nigeria (RIMAN), a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA) and Institute of Strategic Customer Service and Trade Management (ICSTM), An honorary fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria (CILRM) and an Honorary senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Hannatu Musawa
Before her nomination as a Minister, Hannatu Musawa, a Nigerian Lawyer, politician and author, was appointed as the Special Adviser on Culture and Entertainment Economy, by President Mohammadu Buhari.
Hannatu, who hails from Katsina state, was a former Deputy Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.
She graduated with a Degree in Law from the University of Buckingham, UK. She has a postgraduate Master’s degree in the Legal aspects of Marine Affairs from the University of Cardiff wales. She also has a Master’s degree in Oil & gas from the University of Aberdeen.
Hannatu is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and also a qualified solicitor in England & Wales, UK. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
She has worked as a litigation lawyer and Legal advisor to a number of private companies. She founded the firm Hanney Musawa & associates.
Uche Nnaji
Chief Nnaji hails from Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state. Nnaji was the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the concluded 2023 general elections.
He attended Santa Maria Primary School, Enugu (now Ziks Avenue Primary School), St Patrick’s College, Emene, Enugu, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus.
His successful start in business after his youth service encouraged him to continue in private enterprise.
Nnaji consequently delved deeper into the importation and procurement of various items, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, motor spare parts, and other equipment. He participated actively in hospital equipment procurement and installation contracts.
His involvement in hospital and medical procurement and installation at a young age put him in a vantage entrepreneurship position, as he was the youngest and the first African to procure a CT scan from PHILIPS MEDICAL, Hamburg, Germany office in mid-1980s for Nigeria.
Dr. Betta Edu
Dr. Betta Edu is the youngest nominee on the ministerial list. Dr. Edu was born on October 27, 1986.
Edu who hails from Cross River state, is a Nigerian politician and national women leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC). In 2015, Edu became the youngest person to be appointed Special Adviser to the then Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, on Community and Primary Healthcare.
She was the Cross River State Commissioner for Health from December 2019 until her resignation in March 2022. She was also National Chairman of the Nigeria Health Commissioners Forum.
Edu is a Fellow of the Royal School of Public Health in UK and the African Institute of Public Health Professionals.
