Just in: Ex-Benue Gov. Ortom lands in EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC) in Makurdi, the state capital, has busted the immediate past Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
Ortom, Persecondnews gathered, is being grilled by the anti-graft agency over alleged corruption while in office.
The former governor ruled from 2015 to 2023 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
 Ortom, who was driven in his private SUV, arrived at the EFCC office located along Gordon Aluor Street, old GRA, Makurdi, at about 10:08am.
His two former aides, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Terver Akase and his Principal Special Assistant, Abraham Kwaghgu, later joined him at the EFCC’s office.
At the time of filing this report, Ortom is still being held by the operatives.
