I’ll cooperate with Police, says Seun Kuti as IG orders his arrest

Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has promised to cooperate fully with the police after the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, ordered his arrest.

The order came after Kuti was captured assaulting an officer in a viral video.

In the video that emerged on Saturday, Kuti was seen pointing to the unidentified police officer before proceeding to push and slap the officer.

Reacting to the assault, Baba ordered the Police Commissioner in Lagos State to arrest the singer immediately.

Following the order for his arrest, Kuti wrote on his Instagram: “I welcome the investigation and will give my full cooperation! I also pray to the IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted.”

Reactions have been trailing the action of the singer against the police with many social media users blaming the singer for overreacting.
