Popular comedian, Julius Agwu, has confirmed that his marriage to his wife, Ibiere has hit the rock.

The comedian, who has been in the comedy business in Nigeria for over two decades, opened up about his troubled marriage yesterday, saying his wife has finally left him.

In a recent interview with a popular media personality, Daddy Freeze on Instagram, Agwu said: “My wife said she was not marrying me again. She said she was tired of the marriage. That’s why I thank God that I’m alive. I have a saying that ‘Satan works in mysterious ways, and God works in miraculous ways’.”

It will be recalled that Agwu had undergone a brain surgery to remove a tumour from his brain in 2015 but he has not been his bubbling self since then.

His comedy shows that usually holds in Port Harcourt and Lagos had been put on hold since then.

“I came back to Nigeria and did a thanksgiving service. After that, I travelled to London, United Kingdom, in 2016 for a show.

“But, just two days to my show in London, I was rushed to the hospital. I was in coma for three months; and I can only thank God that I am alive.”

Some years back, his wife had told this reporter that she could not imagine what could make him leave her husband, particularly when he was sick and needed her more.

It remained to be seen what could have changed his wife’s mind that pushed her to walk away from their union of 14 years.
