A fatal accident involving the convoy of Adamawa Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has claimed four lives with five other people sustaining various degrees of injury.
The governor’s campaign train was on his way to Mubi when the accident occurred.
The accident involved a Toyota Hilux conveying a detachment of vigilantes who accompanied the governor on his political campaign train, an aide to the governor at the scene of the incident, said.
According to the aide, the lone accident which occurred near Fadamareke in Hong Local Government Area was caused by speeding.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at Hong Federal Medical Centre mortuary.
Persecondnews recalls that last week Adamawa governor narrowly escaped death by hairsbreadth when a truck lost control rammed into his stationary motorcade at Dougirei hilltop Agga Mosque.
Two vehicles were crushed by the truck.
