Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Joseph Egbunike, who headed the Special Investigation Panel set up to investigate the suspended Deputy Police Commissioner, Abba Kyari, over money laundering allegations, has slumped and passed on.
The DIG, who was in charge of the Force Headquarters Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), Abuja, slumped onTuesday night in his office and died.

Persecondnews recalls that the Police Inspector-General, Mr Alkali Usman Baba, had inaugurated the panel to investigate the suspended Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, Kyari, over money laundering and other sundry allegations.
Egbunike, who hailed from Onitsha, Anambra State, had served in Lagos and other parts of the country as Deputy Commissioner, CP and AIG.
