In what appeared like a daredevilry act, a tenant has let loose his anger on his landlord fatally, who had asked him for his contribution for the month’s electricity bill for his apartment.
For the landlord simply identified as Monday, little did he know that asking his tenant to pay for electricity consumed for the month of August would be the end of his life.
The incident which reportedly occurred on August 23, 2021, along Hospital road, Ozoro, Isoko North council area of Delta State has thrown the community into shock and grief.
The tenant had stoned his landlord to death in a heated argument over the electricity bill.

“An argument had ensued between them during when the tenant, whose name could not be ascertained, hit the landlord’s head with a stone,” said a witness.

The landlord did not survive the attack as he slumped and passed on, he said.

Contacted, the spokesman for the Delta Police Command, ASP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and the arrest of the suspect.
