Four suspected traffic marauders who have been terrorizing people especially commuters and pedestrians on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, are now cooling their heels in police cells.
The traffic robbers, who operate on motorcycles, were apprehended by eagle-eyed and dutiful policemen attached to Onireke Division on the crater-riddled road.
The cops on operation “Stop-and-Search” caught them like chickens a motorcycle conveying four passengers (the four robbers).
Items recovered from them include two cutlasses, one jack knife, weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, two bottles of ICED intoxicant substance (Hehila) and five stolen phones.
Contacted by Persecondnews, the command’s spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a Chief Superintendent, said the arrests were a proof of the command’s commitment to descend on traffic robbers and flush them out of Lagos State.

Adejobi said: “On 15th May, 2021, at about 1a.m., four suspected traffic robbers were arrested in front of Onireke Division, along Badagry Expressway, Lagos.
“The police searched them and recovered two (2) cutlasses, one jack knife, weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, two bottles of ICED intoxicant substance (Hehila) and five suspected stolen phones.
“The suspects have given useful information to assist the police in their investigation.”
He said Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu had directed that the suspects be transferred to the Command’s Special Squad, Ikeja, for proper investigation.
He further directed that the Divisional Police Officer in the area should improve on his anti-crime strategies to go after the hoodlums who are terrorizing the area and eradicate traffic robbery and other forms of criminality.
