Ahead of U.S. President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, a top Democratic Party official, Mr Ron Klain, has been appointed the Chief of Staff.

Klain is one of Biden’s closest confidants and first worked for the Democrats in 1989 when he was a U.S. senator.

Klain has been a fierce critic of Republican President Donald Trump’s handling of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

He is expected to be a key figure in Biden’s response to the health crisis.

Persecondnews reports that Biden, former Vice-President to President Barack Obama, is expected to be inaugurated on January 20, 2021 as the 46th President of the world’s biggest democracy.
