BREAKING: Jonathan storms Presidential Villa, meets Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari and his predecessor, Dr Goodluck Jonathan are currently meeting behind closed-doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

 

 

Jonathan, who arrived at Aso Rock at 11.00am, headed straight to President Buhari’s office.

 

The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, had recently appointed Dr. Jonathan to head the political reconciliation in Mali where there is leadership tussle.

 

Jonathan, appointed ECOWAS special envoy for Mali, his committee had recommended the government of national unity in the country but the opposition group had turned down the recommendation.

 

The meeting may centre on the committee’s effort on the Mali crisis.
