A demonic and frisky Christian cleric, who allegedly tricked a co-tenant’s 10-year-old girl to his room and raped her, is now cooling his heels in police net in Ogun State.
The 59-year-old pastor of Light Christian Church, Odeda near Abeokuta, had sent the teen on errand to his one-room apartment and trailed her to the room before he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
According to the girl’s account, the pastor called her to go and bring his key for him in his room, followed her and seized her.
“He pushed her to the bed, covered her mouth and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.”
The girl’s father reported the incident at Odeda Divisional Police headquarters which led to the arrest of the defiler.
The DPO, CSP Ajayi Williams immediately detailed detectives to the scene where the randy pastor was arrested.
Commenting on the incident, the spokesman for the state command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said on interrogation, the pastor owned up to the crime.
He said the victim had been taken to the General Hospital at Odeda for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner, Mr Kenneth Ebrimson, has directed that the suspect should be transferred to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal lnvestigation and lntelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
