President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progressive Congress (APC) governors are right now meeting in the presidential villa, Abuja, in an apparent bid to contain the leadership crisis threatening to tear the party apart.
At the meeting are the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu; Chairman of Northern Governors Forum and Governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong and Governor of Jigawa state, Abubakar Badaru.
The meeting is coming closely after Sunday’s meeting with Senate President Ahmed Lawan, who had hinted that the president would intervene in the matter in a bid to resolve the crisis within the next few days.
