Minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami, on Sunday issued a stark warning for Nigerias to “ignore the lies” and insist on the truth in response to allegations by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chief executive officer (CEO) of NIDCOM, that her staff were denied access to an office space.
Dabiri-Erewa, who spoke in a video tweeted by NIDCOM, accused Isa Pantami, minister of communications and digital economy, of ordering gunmen to throw out the agency from an office that the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) gave to them.
The minister accused Abike Dabiri-Erewa-Erewa of lying about the incident.
According to the minister, “THIS IS A FAT LIE FROM HER: The owner of the building @NgComCommission has faulted her lies on their social media platforms. The minister has never given that directives to any gunman. We need to be very objective in reporting. I have never sent any gunmen there, and I have no one,” the minister tweeted.
In a statement the NCC also denied the allegation : The attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been drawn to a video making the rounds on social media alleging that the Nigeria Diaspora Commission was ignominiously thrown out of the NCC building. It is therefore important that the general public is acquiesced with what really transpired with regard to the incident leading to the evacuation of the Diaspora Commission from the NCC building.
