A top government official in Nigeria has reportedly been killed by the coronavirus, becoming the most high-profile victim of the outbreak in the country where 17 people have lost their lives.
The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, said a statement from Femi Adesina, spokesperson for the president.
The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.
” Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly, he said.
