The All Progressive Congress, APC, divisions were on glaring display Thursday as plans to save Adams Oshiomhole as chairman left bitter officials turning their anger on their own leaders.
Many rank-and-file APC members were not having it. But prescriptions for how the party should remove the chairman varied.
One thing most everyone could agree on: Its time for Oshiomhole to leave, according to a party chieftain who spoke under the condition of anonymity.
Banners displaying the pictures of the embattled chairman have been removed at the party secretariat in Abuja. The billboard with the picture of President Muhammadu Buhari and Oshiomhole, at the entrance of the party secretariat have also been replaced.
It was replaced on Wednesday night with a billboard displaying only the picture of President Buhari.
