Embattled Oluwo of Iwo in Osun State, Southwest Nigeria, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, was on Friday suspended for six months for misconduct and unroyal behaviours.
A committee headed by Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun, was also constituted by the council to further investigate the matter involving Oluwo and Obas in Iwo.
The traditional rulers at their emergency meeting held at Osun State Government Secretariat in Osogbo presided over by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, unanimously decided to suspend Oba Akanbi.
Persecondnews learnt that the Oluwo was also punished for allegedly disrespecting the Alaafin of Oyo, Alake of Egbaland and the Ooni at a public event sometime in 2019.
