Chief MKO Abiola’s personal physician, Dr Ore Falomo, is dead.

It was reported that Falomo died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.

Falomo featured prominently following the sudden death of Abiola in Federal Government custody and the actualisation of June 12, 1993, presidential mandate freely given to Abiola by Nigerians.

Abiola’s election was not only annulled, but he was detained by the head of military junta and dictator, the late Gen. Sani Abacha.

He died on July 7, 1998 after been served a cup of tea in the presence of some U.S. and United Nations’ officials who had supposedly come to negotiate his release.

Falomo, after an autopsy, was pressured by the military government not to divulge the cause of Abiola’s death.

Abacha also died on June 8, 1998.
