President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met behind closed doors with some governors on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President arrived the Presidential Villa at about 1pm on Tuesday after spending five days in his home town, Daura, where he went to participate in the governorship and state assembly elections.
The Governors at the meeting that held at thr residence of President Buhari were Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, Abdulaziz Yari, Zamfara State, Abubakar Badaru, Jigawa State, Kassim Shetima of Borno State and Fayemi Kayode of Ekiti State.
The meeting ended at about 5pm with no official position on why it held.
It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared the March 9 governorship and State House of Assembly elections inconclusive in at least seven states.
The affected states are Plateau, Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Sokoto, Kano and Rivers states.
