Chief Tony Anenih, former minister of works is dead at 85

Former Minister of Works Chief Tony Anenih died on Sunday evening at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.He was 85.

Mr Anenih was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party and was appointed works minister by President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He served God and humanity with commitment, said a statement  He also served his fatherland to the best of his ability. signed by Anthony Anenih Jnr.

” We will all sorely miss him. But his legacies live on.

According to the statement, burial arrangements by the family will be announced subsequently.
