New design academy berths in Lokoja

410

For many parents in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, their desire is to profitably engage their wards during the holidays. However, each time they desire to do so, the thought of how best to engage them become an issue. This is because there aren’t much places to take the children to. That may no longer be a problem.

ERICLAFIA Design Academy has been born. It is an industry-focused technology school that is carefully designed to meet the needs of the rapidly evolving technology sector.

Started by a committed team of tech and impact-focused entrepreneurs, with a mission to change the way we think about education. There have never been more opportunities for young creators, designers, developers and entrepreneurs to design a better future, and to create a meaningful impact in the world.

The lead visioner, Prince Richard Alabi said: “Our programs are 100% industry focused designed to be modular and hyper-relevant to the industry. We teach our students the skills, tools and software to help them gets ahead in today’s constantly evolving technological driven economy.”

He went on to explain: “Throughout our programs, students will learn from top industry professionals, engage in projects with community partners, network and build connections with hiring partners and professionals in their field, as well as build a robust portfolio with meaningful projects that will help jump-start their career”.

According to Prince Alabi, ERICLAFIA is more than just a school, explaining that ERICLAFIA Design Academy was conceived to bridge the skills gap in Nigeria’s tech sector and in Kogi which happens to be lagging behind compared to states like Lagos and other big cities. “Our vision, he said “is that of a school that is also a creative hub— a place where beginners and professionals alike can get together and work out the next big idea.
