Alleged kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans, Friday filed an application for his case to be given expedited hearing and be released on bail.

Evans, who is facing kidnapping charges has since changed his plea from guilty to not guilty.

Ms. Titilayo Shitta-Bay, the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, described his bail application as confusing and an abuse of court processes.

She said it is a ploy to frustrate the trial.
