The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the match venues and schedule for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Playoff tournament.

The mini-tournament will take place in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to 16, 2025, featuring four top African teams – Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Persecondnews reports that these nations will battle it out for a spot in the inter-confederation play-off, which offers a chance to secure Africa’s 10th and final slot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The semi-final matches are set for Thursday, November 13, 2025, at El Barid Stadium and Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will face Gabon in the opening game at 5 pm local time (16:00 GMT), while Cameroon will take on the DRC in the second semi-final at 8 pm local time (19:00 GMT).

A draw scheduled for October 30, 2025, will determine which fixture is assigned to each venue.

The final match is slated for Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium, with kick-off set for 8 pm local time (19:00 GMT).

The winner of this match will advance to the FIFA Inter-Continental Play-off in March 2026, where they will compete for a spot in the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The tournament represents the last hurdle for the participating nations to join Africa’s already-qualified teams for the Mundial.
